From the 25th of February to the 4th of March, IMPRO Amsterdam 2023 will rock Amsterdam Noord with eight days of high-quality international Improvisational Theatre.

"Bee Swarm" directed by Dan Seyfried

(19:30 - 20:30 - Theaterzaal)

Every bee's nest there has a queen and workers who work for her, for the community. There seems to be chaos, but each individual has a very specific and important role to play in the hive. Together they form a super-organism, where ego is put aside and everything is done to make the whole perfect. In this format, the stories will be the nests in which the main characters will be the queens and all other elements (music, secondary characters, setting) will act as the workers. Despite the chaos that seems to reign, it will form a coherent whole. You will see the improvisers constantly playing together, miming an element of the scenery, illustrating a simple leaf blowing in the wind, a beating heart, a princess dress or sometimes playing the main character living 1000 adventures. But each one will be important for the coherence, poetry and beauty of the spontaneously created story. They will play together as a superorganism!

"Stacejam" by Stacey Smith

STACEJAM is a solo musical improv show created and performed by Stacey Smith. With one suggestion, Stacey will create a world with dozens of characters and tell their stories through scenes and songs.

"Neverfolk" directed by Chris Mead

NeverFolk creates improvised theatre that is funny and heart-breaking, wise and foolish. Stories that live for a glorious moment and then never again.
